Agreement Overview

By accessing or using KnightRush ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the application. KnightRush is provided as a free, open tactical training resource for chess players of all levels.

1. Permitted Use & Chess Training

KnightRush provides chess puzzles, speed sprints (Puzzle Rush), survival gauntlets, and progress analytics for personal, educational, and non-commercial training.

  • You may use the platform on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • You may export, share, or create custom puzzle positions for personal study or coaching.
  • You agree not to use automated engine scrapers, spam bots, or malicious scripts to disrupt server operations or falsify leaderboard records.

2. User Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in harassment, cheating automation, or security violations.

3. Chess Data & Intellectual Property

The chess puzzles provided on KnightRush are curated from open chess databases (including Lichess and creative-commons tactical archives). Chess game positions and chess notation (FEN/PGN) constitute public domain factual game states.

The KnightRush brand, custom visual design, interface styling, code assets, and sound compositions are the intellectual property of the KnightRush project.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free gameplay, though we make diligent efforts to maintain high availability and accurate tactical engine validations.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KnightRush and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

6. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these terms at our discretion. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of KnightRush following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
